So I've decided to do a series of monthly reviews where I'll be looking at the experiences of the month, the challenges and triumphs, lessons learnt, books read, music I listened to etc.
I hope you enjoy it.

It's my second month bact at work from martenity.
Reflection:
I found myself reflecting on my roles of being a young wife and a mother. I find myself struggling to balance the two, not forgetting being a professional. I have to say, it's tough. My work schedule isn't hectic currently, so I find that the imbalance is between the wife and mother roles. I tend to neglect the wife role a lot while i give myself into the mother role.
I also found myself reflecting on the challenges in marriage. What I learned from this is that we just need to speak up, have that one close friend or mentor (if you may) that you can share your challenges with and get advise. No need to die in silence, everyone is going through something, it may be a different challenge from yours but everyone has something going on.
Motherhood:
My son turned 5 months this month, yeyyyyy; and I was going through pictures from when he was 2 months, my God, the transformation is amazing. He's a big boy now, so tall and chubby. I have to say, I am learning a lot about myself while mothering him, weird neh.
Books ~ The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukov
This book is fantastic. It's very engaging and thought provoking. I bought it last month but I'm still on the second chapter. It's kind of a work book, so I read and reflect before moving to the next chapter. I promise to do a full review once I'm done.
Music
My playlist is generally really mixed, so don't be surprised when you see no flow between the songs / genres.
More n More ~ Collen Maluleke
U kahle ~ Worship Saints
Let me ~ Zayn Malik
There you go, that's my July in a few paragraphs. Comment with your July favourites, highs, lows etc.
xoxo
